The state of scientific advancement

Does anyone else feel that scientific advancement has "slowed" recently? Yes technology has changed our lives in unimaginable ways, but does it seem more and more that a small group of people, the so-called "scientific community" is known to "oppress" new and innovative ideas that are different from their own? Well we think that this is exactly what Thomas Kuhn was eluding to when he talked about scientific revolutions, and this can't be more evident than at the conclusion of the Return to Helgoland 2025 conference this month; a star-studded roster of Nobel Lauretes, professors of Ivy League Schools, and directors or group leaders of quantum labs around the world gathering for discussions on the history of quantum mechanics, its developments in the past 100 years, and the future 100 years, but it seems that they haven't put forth any new and innovative ideas and they are the exact people, the "scientific community", or a "cult" if you may that is reluctant if not downright refusing to accept ideas from others.
